For someone who’s both a Beatlemaniac and a Sherlockian like me… this casting is simultaneously perfect and terrifying.

As someone who’s a fan of both The Beatles and Sherlock Holmes, I find it highly disconcerting that

was once Paul

and Moriarty

was once John.

…Apparently actors who are good at playing creepy criminal masterminds are also good at playing cheeky Scouse musicians.

A year ago today, I saw Paul McCartney in concert with my best friend. It was an absolutely incredible experience with, of course, a fantastic performance by Paul (and with much tears and screaming on my behalf). It was the kind of thing that I’ll cherish forever, truly.

It was pretty crazy seeing him perform tonight at the Olympics, knowing that exactly a year ago I was actually seeing him sing Hey Jude in person. I still get so excited when I remember it…
